LAUNCH EVENT OF THE INSTITUTE FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH, TRAINING AND APPLICATION (IPRTA)

On September 24, 2023, the Institute of Psychological Research, Training and Application (IPRTA) held a Launching Ceremony at the Royal Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, with the attendance of Prof. Dr. Vu Dung, President of VIETNAM PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION; ASS. Dr. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan, Vice President of Vietnam Psychological Association, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Psychology Journal, Head of Faculty of Psychology, Academy of Social Sciences; ASS. TS.BS. Dr. Nguyen Van Tho – Professional advisor; Dr. Ly Thi Mai, Psychologist – professional advisor; Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Chief Representative of the South LAW MEDIA – Vietnam Law Newspaper, together with partners, experts, doctors, researchers and media agencies.

Congratulatory remarks, Prof. Dr. Vu Dung, President of the Vietnam Psychological Association said that the launch of the Institute of Psychological Research, Training and Application in Ho Chi Minh City will connect experts, scientists and researchers in the field of Psychology, contributing to mental health care for Vietnamese people, for a future generation of Vietnamese to develop comprehensively both physically and mentally.

GS. Dr. Vu Dung said that in the context that mental health is increasingly concerned and the situation of mental illnesses is increasing, the Institute focuses on researching and training knowledge for parents raising children; take care of and early detect cases of children with language difficulties and intellectual development disorders to promptly support them; Awareness training for preschool teachers about children “Autism Spectrum Disorder”, skills program training for students from kindergarten to high school and career orientation activities for young people is a very right direction. These activities will bring positive benefits to the community for a healthy and comprehensive Vietnamese human future.
IPRTA Institute is a member of the Vietnam Psychological Association from March 2023, licensed by the Ministry of Science and Technology to operate number A- 2587 on June 16, 2023 with the principle of “putting people as the focus in activities”. The Institute is located at 48 Street 7, Phu Huu Residential Area, Phu Huu Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City. The Institute operates in 4 main fields, including: Psychological research, psychological training and human resource fostering, psychology application, international cooperation.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung, Director of IPRTA, the Institute aims to see that each generation of Vietnamese people has a comprehensive development of mental and physical health, contributing to the socio-psychological development goals of the region and the world. The Institute aims to become Asia’s leading psychological research, training and application institution by 2033; specializing in carrying out activities of research, training, application of knowledge, provision of services and transfer of scientific and technological advances in the field of psychology to domestic and foreign organizations and individuals.

On the journey to realize that vision and goals, IPRTA commits that the Institute’s activities are based on 4 missions: Improving the quality of mental health for the community and building a positive ecosystem; Building a team of high-quality experts and researchers; Provide comprehensive mental health care; Promote collaborative relationships and professional development.
IPRTA Institute is run by a team of talented and experienced founders.
Along with that, the Institute also gathers a team of doctors and experts trained from prestigious schools of psychology in the country and internationally. With enthusiasm, responsibility and high ideals devoted to the psychology of the country, the leadership team, professional advisory board, and a team of experts said that they will make efforts to make IPRTA Institute of Psychological Research, Training and Application become an “extended arm” of the Vietnam Psychological Association.
In addition to psychological research, training and application activities, IPRTA also provides services and transfers scientific and technological advances in the field of psychology to domestic and foreign organizations and individuals.

The area considered to be the strength of IPRTA is psychological training and human resource fostering. Before its official launch, IPRTA has been “ordered” by many agencies, organizations and schools (including many international schools) for short-term, medium-term and long-term training in the fields of psychology and life skills.

‘MOTHER’S DREAM’ PROJECT

Founded and operated by Director Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung, with a team of experienced and dedicated experts and doctors of IPRTA Institute, “Mother’s Dream” is firmly on the journey of providing effective psychological care and support solutions for issues related to psychological health, balance the child’s emotions and behavior. With the desire to spread these good values to children in remote provinces – where it is difficult to access psychological treatment centers, the project “Mother’s Dream” was born.

Through this project, experts and doctors will go directly to each locality to deploy early screening and intervention methods for children, timely detection and increase the effectiveness of therapy; breaking down barriers of geographical distance and financial difficulties for families, helping children receive local therapy; provide knowledge and improve skills for parents.

The “Mother’s Dream” project wishes to connect with psychologists, social organizations, non-profit organizations, businesses to build a chain of psychotherapy counseling centers in remote provinces to support and serve children to have timely and uninterrupted access to therapy.

COOPERATION SIGNING CEREMONY

On the launching day, the Research Institute of Psychological Training and Application together with units, businesses and the education system will officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in research, training and psychological application activities through projects in Vietnam.
The signed units include: 1. Bambi Education Joint Stock Company; 2. Viet Anh Medical Education Company; 3. Angel Wings Education & Skills Training Company; 4. Happiness Travel Service Company Limited; 5. Celeb Group Company Limited; 6. Thuan Truong-Aloboy Community Development Co., Ltd.
In addition, IPRTA has also signed a cooperation agreement with Tuoi Tre newspaper to bring reputable experts to provide free life skills training; donated Tuoi Tre daily to students of 20 high schools in Ho Chi Minh City HCMC, Long An and Tien Giang in the school year 2023-2024
