On 01/12/2023, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Giang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Psychological Research, Training and Application (IPRTA) was invited to participate as an expert in the event EXCHANGE WITH THE COMMUNITY “GEN Z CONNECT – COMPARE TO CHANGE THE DIRECTION” JOINTLY ORGANIZED BY Thuan Truong Social Enterprise (ALO BOY) and the Center for Community Connection – UEF.
During the event, MSc Giang shared the perspective of a social and psychological practitioner on issues related to the health and psychology of transgender people. These include difficulties and barriers to accessing social care, social stigma that the transgender female community is facing.
The event was attended by Ms. Leigh McCUMBER, Director of the Canadian Foundation for Local Initiatives (CFLI), Political Counsellor – Cultural Information, representatives of University of Economics and Finance, Thuan Truong Social Enterprise and more than 200 students participating in the event.
Thuan Truong Social Enterprise is one of IPRTA’s partners in implementing community support programs, including carrying out social science research, coordinating the provision of mental health services to the community, including the LGBTQI+ community.
